I received my devilbiss 1025 last week, 5 weeks after placing my order. Capital medical supply was not responsive in letting me know when I was going to receive the unit, to the point where I was wondering if I had been scammed. The manufacturer then confirmed that their units were back ordered and that they should be shipped within a few weeks.
I opened the box as soon as I received it - but the smell was so bad out of the box that I've had to put it in a covered area to air out. I looked at it yesterday to check on the progress of offgasing and noticed a very visible defect in the front plastic casing by the controls. For the amount of money spent on this medical oxygen concentrator unit, I expected it to have zero VOC and definitely zero visible defect. I just hope the unit will work as expected once I can use it.
It is efficient but it makes way too much noise and vibration it is impossible to live next to this device unfortunately I had to place it in the basement and put a 50 foot hose to avoid noise pollution and heat emanating from it.
